Been awhile...

It's been a little white since I wrote here, mainly because I retreated into my black hole again but I'm out and about and really enjoying SL again.  I'm so excited that Jace Corvale is teaching again and I'm loving his Young Citizens class at Oceanside Elementary!  Oh and I made dance team too.. it's almost like I'm living my SL in flash back and I love it!  It's been nearly 2 years since I enjoyed going to SL school and this feeling of being a kid again has been a long time coming.  We had to paint a self portrait during class and I was a bit nervous about it as I'm terrible at things like this but it was pretty fun and I thought I'd peek in here tell you what's up in my SL lately and share with you my self portrait no matter how embarrassing it is.

So grateful...

Today was a very exciting day for me in RL and in SL.  Today we held my sons 1st birthday party and had a blast... most of you know the story behind my miracle son and for those who don't just a quick recap.  I hadn't known I was pregnant the entire time I was carrying my son which meant no prenatal vitamins or checkups or weigh ins or anything leading up to his arrival in  the world and I thank God that he is a healthy lil chunky boy and he brings so much joy to my life.  Today was a very special day for me, a chance to celebrate a year of his life.

For SL it was also a great day for me.. today has been my highest selling day for 50L Friday since it started almost a year ago.  I can't even put into words how grateful I am for the support that you all show me and the other designers when you go around every week to shop on Friday for our specials.  Not to mention for every time that you purchase something from Baby Couture and for the excitement you show after every release.

I'm grateful for Second Life and for all of my customers who allow me the chance to work from home and to be there for my son daily and not have to go work a 9-5 and only get to spend a few hours with him during the day.  It's always been very important to me to raise my children and to not have a daycare raising them. (Not meaning anything down on mothers who do take their children to daycare). It's just not something I've ever wanted to do and I can't tell you enough how thankful I am for my customers and for this chance you've all allowed me to have.  It means so much to me that you would even consider buying my stuff and I just want to say thank you for making this all possible.

The outfit from todays 50L Friday was a somewhat new style for me mixing a few difference combinations that I've done previously and it's named after my real life grandmother who is such an encouraging woman and who I've grown to love very much this past year.  We were never very close before I had my son but taking him to visit her almost every weekend and seeing how much she loves him makes me smile to know that when I was a child I was in good hands, even if only while at her home.

I've got SUNSHINE!!!

I typically ignore the posts that come through the kids groups.. not because I'm some big meanyhead but I just don't bother reading to majority of them.  A few stores I grab and glimpse over them but generally I don't read half that come through and more than not if it is a new store I totally overlook it.

That wasn't the case when the notice came through the other day for this new shop called Dandelions by Miss Britain Knave and I'm so glad I didn't ignore it.  I cannot say enough how adorable this bedroom set is.  I love the bright and fun summer colors so much.  This will most definitely be my bext bedroom set that I purchase for my room.. I love love love it

Summer Daze

Hi everyone!  This is the first of a couple posts I'm gonna put up because I've got a lot to share but I don't want to have an extremely long babbly post that would be uber boring.  Last night I was hangin at home with Momma and she was swimmin in the pool but she wouldn't let me in and I didn't know why.  I had on this adorable outfit right and I didn't wanna go in and change and she said she won't let swim in my clothes. 

So I was like whatever and went out front to play but I got bored because no one was around and I remembered that Chelsea and Babydoll had been outside earlier in the day and drew a hopskotch board on their driveway so I snuck over and played for a little.  I'm so so glad Mr. Harrison didn't come out and catch me!

A quiet Wednesday morning...

Hello sweetnesses!

I just wanted to write a quick pose up to start this blog on the right track.  As most of you know who will find this blog I do have another which you can find in the About section.  That blog I had been posting looks as well as my store related things but it was too confusing for me to have it all in one place.  I've always been the type of person who seperated things out and grouped them.  So, here I go grouping.  I will be posting 'slife' things on this blog only, it's more personal and I'd rather not mix it with my Baby Couture business things.  On this blog you will find many things.. some days I'll write about a new sim or store I found or I may even just post a photo and tell you about it or if I want to share a really cute outfit I put together I will post an LOTD as well.


Enough of that :P I had a peaceful morning this morning just enjoying some time to read around different blogs and checking out new shops in SL.  After all that I pulled out a few toys and played for a bit in the front yard.
